| Running ifconfig with no networks attached list all devices: lo, eth0 and wlan0. If I turn off network via Network Manager then ifconfig only lists lo.
I could ping successfully to my router.

| with no network cable attached typing ifconfig shows eth0, only lo should be there.
Typing sudo ifdown eth0 gives "ifdown: interface eth0 not configured"
Looks like bug 731737.
